Matrix Rowing Machine – Review

by on March 15th, 2017

The Conclusion

The Matrix Rowing Machine performs at the highest level in the fitness equipment industry. Unlike the WaterRower and other machines that use water for resistance, this machine utilizes a brushed aluminum flywheel with 10 magnetic resistance settings. The resistance settings has a expansive range, from very easy to heavy resistance, to allow users to challenge themselves in different ways throughout their fitness journey.

The machine is very smooth and quiet, which is important for me as I will be using it within my home. The footprint is very small as you easily can tilt the machine up for movement and storage purposes.

The seat is a great size and is very comfortable, making users more likely to complete longer workouts. The handle is smooth and comfortable to grip. It’s very easy for me to get my feet in and secure in the claps. The only issue was removing my feet, at times the back heel cup would catch my shoe and get caught.

The console is intuitive and features different training programs to get the most out of your workout. It displays the basic aspects of your workout including time, distance, strokes per minute, heart rate, calories, and more. I was able to focus on my workout and see my progress at a glance.

I enjoy using this machine and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great rower that will stand the test of time, and continue to present a challenge with each workout!

New Landice L8 Treadmill with Cardio Trainer Control Panel – Runner’s Treadmill Award Winner
Runner’s World Review:

Best For: Houses with sleeping babies

The Good: “This thing focuses on what’s important: the feel of the run,” raves RW Reporter Kit Fox. In testing, it proved to be the quietest, and the thick four-ply belt made for ninja-like footfalls. The L8 is also fast to respond to speed and incline changes; runners were shocked at how quickly it reacted to big variations when doing intervals. They also liked how the display flashed until the belt reached its destination, so you know when you’ve reached your desired speed or slope. Unlike other machines, the L8 lets you hit top speed and incline at the same time—the potentially dangerous combo would tax even the world’s best mountain runners in just minutes. Our test model came with the “cardio console” (four setups are available), which prioritizes heart-rate-based training programs.

The Gripe: The tiny fan is all but useless. You have to stand right above the console to even feel it.

Matrix A30 Ascent Trainer with XER Console – Review

by on November 16th, 2016

The Conclusion

The Matrix A30 Ascent Trainer includes power incline and multiple integrated convenience features. The Matrix XER console includes a clear display and an intuitive home screen that offers easy access to entertainment.

I love the features that the A30 provides to the exerciser. To some exercising could be tedious, but it hard to be bored while working out on the A30. The A30 has programs divided into sections including training, goals, target heart rate resistance, and Sprint 8. My favorite program that the A30 offers is the Sprint 8. It is a science-based cardio workout program has been proven to boost energy, reduce body fat, promote lean muscle mass and improve cholesterol in just eight weeks. Exercisers will be able to track their workouts through the ViaFit app. One can also keep track of their calories via my fitness pal.

The other features added in the A30 are entertainment based. The virtual active Virtual Active is a first-person, forward-motion video experience designed to enhance one’s cardio workout by experiencing journeys through stunning worldwide destinations from the inside of one’s home. One will also be able to watch their favorite movies and television shows via Hulu and Netflix.

While on the A30, I experienced a great workout. With most elliptical, since one’s feet need to stay on foot pedals, they can feel like they have less control over their movements, and it’s less natural for someone who’s used to running. This elliptical is designed with Perfect Stride motion eliminates surges and dead spots so you move more smoothly, burn more calories and get better results.

Overall, I believe the A30 is an excellent piece of fitness equipment. I enjoyed myself exercising on it. It is not like most cardiovascular machines on the market. The console is large, clear and easy to use. Exercisers are able to change workout while working out, while other machines causes one to stop their original workout in order to start a new one. The A30 is the way of the future. Smart technology is in everything from phone to televisions, so why not incorporate them into fitness equipment. These features cause one to be completely immersed into the machine, which results in a better workout experience. I would highly recommend this product to all exercisers.

Vision Fitness S7100HRT Suspension Elliptical – Review

by on October 11th, 2016

The Conclusion

The first thing you notice when you see the Vision S7100 HRT Suspension Trainer is its compact design and minimal footprint. The product lives small, and due to the minimal active footprint of the machine it allows those users with limited workout space to easily fit this product into the home’s workout area.

The space-saving design of the S7100 is appealing, but the performance of the machine is the number one priority for me and with the small footprint I was concerned about the ellipse stride and length of stride. During my demo of the machine (I am not in the video, that is a fellow fitness enthusiast) I evaluated the stride and length and although I determined it was comfortable enough, I would prefer a longer stride than the 20-21” variable stride offered by the S7100. I am 5’10” and a runner, so I prefer to stretch my stride. Shorter users, or those with shorter running strides may have no issue with the stride and even prefer it to a longer stride…but as this is my review, I just want to give my fair evaluation and my opinion as the product relates to me and my fitness needs.

In the past, I would use the elliptical trainers without using the arms to try to mimic my running motion but recently I’ve found that the arms and my upper body allows me to really increase the resistance of the machine and get a different sort of muscular workout combined with the cardiovascular exercise on the elliptical. The resistance system of the Vision S7100 HRT was up to the challenge as I increased the resistance levels it continued to perform well and I was really challenged with smooth and consistent resistance in the ECB magnetic braking system.

The S7100HRT Elliptical console is easy to understand and use without a lot of time spent looking at the console. Getting started on the S7100HRT very quick and easy, you can select a custom program or select from a preconfigured exercise program. The Sprint8 program is an exclusive workout program to the Vision and Matrix Fitness products and it’s a highly challenging 20-minute workout with periods of intense sprinting and recovery periods. I would highly recommend Sprint8 workouts for anyone looking to burn calories and improve your fitness level and get a serotonin, endorphin, and dopamine lift. The feedback readouts are always visible and easy to understand throughout your workout, making it easy to analyze your performance during and after your workout.

The ability to add the Passport Player and attach to your TV is a great way to get fully immersed in your workout on the S7100HRT Elliptical. The Passport Player video syncs to the speed and intensity of your workout while displaying on the screen a first person view of you running through two preloaded courses; Northern Italy, and the American Southwest. The Vision Fitness Passport Player’s immersive experience of viewing as if you were running outdoors in a new environment helped me to focus on the scenery and
exercise longer and more intensely.

The Vision S7100HRT Suspension Trainer is a strong value option for its price. The minimal footprint of the machine and the performance it provides exceeds other elliptical trainer options in its price point and the Warranty (Frame – Lifetime, Parts & Brake – 5 Years, Labor – 2 Years) is unmatched by any in this price point.

Precor AMT 835 with Open Stride Adaptive Motion Trainer – Review

by on July 8th, 2016

The Conclusion

Precor is known for fitness innovation as the inventor of the elliptical trainer, and has since changed the fitness industry again with its world renowned Adaptive Motion Trainer with Open Stride Technology. The Precor AMT 835 with Open Stride Adaptive Motion Trainer fits a wide distribution of exercisers with an infinite range of stride paths to create a uniquely effective low-impact workout, making every workout a personalized experience. The user defined stride of the Precor AMT 835 is comparable to a treadmill, stepper, and an elliptical all in one machine that offers workouts unlike any other. This piece of equipment allows users to create a variety of strides through switching from walking, running, and climbing spontaneously.

I love that the AMT 835 provides the opportunity for users to gain a high caloric burn, while giving them a lower level of perceived exertion. Exercisers will be able to work out longer, harder, and achieve better results. This will ultimately improve one’s fitness level as well as help with weight loss through calorie burn.

In my own personal experience; I have not suffered from any serious injuries, but when I would run on treadmills I would frequently experience a burning sensation in both of my shins. The shin pain would only occur on treadmills, but when I would play sports my shins would feel fine. After a while, I grew tired of having those pains in my shins, and just fully relied on getting my cardio exercise through sports.

While working out on the AMT, I felt great. I am usually not into using machines for cardio exercise, but I enjoyed the AMT. I did not have any restrictions while on this machine. I enjoyed the long strides, because it was like I was running but without the high impact on my joints. When I grew tired I would shorten my strides as opposed to stopping completely like I do when I am running on the treadmill or playing sports. In a few minutes on the AMT, I could feel my muscles working. I burned over 50 calories just in 4 minutes. That is equivalent to running or jogging 6 miles per hour for 5 minutes. Throughout my workout and afterward I was surprised that I didn’t experience any shin pains although the motion I use on the treadmill to run and the motion I was using on the Adaptive Motion Trainer seemed very similar, except on the AMT there was no impact of my foot repeatedly striking the surface as it would on a treadmill.

The Precor Adaptive Motion Trainer is an investment in your health and fitness, and I believe this type of investment is worthwhile if it keeps your body and mind healthy and strong. The Precor AMT value exceeds the price in my opinion because of the versatility of the machine, the performance over time, and the ability for the user to exercise and not gain the joint pain associated with many weight bearing cardiovascular machines.

Overall, I believe the AMT 835 is an excellent piece of fitness equipment and I would recommend it above any other cardiovascular workout. This piece of equipment can be used by fitness beginners to personal trainers to accomplish a great workout!

Life Fitness Row GX Trainer – Review

by on June 22nd, 2016

The Conclusion

Life Fitness has created a top of the line rowing machine with a very sleek, modern design which extends the GX family of cardiovascular products from its initial launch with the GX Indoor Cycle. Life Fitness has immediately improved the rowing category with the release of the GX Row Trainer because of its uncompromising performance, excellent design and style, and full-body cardiovascular training experience.

One of my favorite characteristics of the Life Fitness Row GX Trainer is the Fluid Resistance Technology to recreate the experience of rowing in water. It’s a very interesting experience to perform an exercise movement which originally was only done in the water, while in the comfort of your home or health club yet you can enjoy the sounds, resistance, and enjoy the true rowing
experience of the water.

I usually achieve my cardio exercise through sports, but I will be using the Row GX more with my workouts. It truly is a full-body workout. I love the simplicity of the machine, you can just get on and row, and achieve an excellent workout without any prior knowledge about how the machine works.

I felt relaxed while on the Row GX, and I was easy able to view my performance from the monitor. After my workout, I did not feel any joint pain or soreness because of the low impact nature of the movement.

The Row GX however lacks built in programs, requiring users to be fully creative versus giving them a sense of direction. The Row GX does not include a heart rate monitoring device. An optional tracking package is available but these options are not included with the price of the machine, and so there’s no way to monitor your heart rate unless you have your own device or purchase this tracking package. I prefer a heart rate device when using cardio exercise equipment, but you can easily use another device like an Apple Watch or Polar Heart Rate Strap and track your heart rate on your own.

Overall, I believe the Row GX provides a safe, effective, full-body cardiovascular workout and I would highly recommend this product to friends and family.

Inflight Fitness Liberator – Review

by on June 15th, 2016

The Conclusion

The Inflight Fitness Liberator with Full Shroud Set has a chromium (platinum) design which provides durability for the machine and stability for its users.

It includes three different workout stations with an optional fourth station. The first station targets the back and shoulders. The first station workouts involve lat pull down and shoulder press. The next station concentrates on the legs, arms, and back. The incorporated workouts are seated leg extension, lying leg curl, bicep curl, and low row. The final included station focuses on the chest, arms, and abdomen. The integrated workouts are the chest press, ab crunch, and overhead triceps. If you would like to take advantage of option to add a fourth station, you can select a Leg Press or Cable Column for $1,895 (included in the pricing shown, of $9,390).

The Liberator has the least amount of adjustments needed to perform all of the exercises. The user has to adjust the height of the seat, place pin on desired weight, and begin their workout. The hand grips are positioned to keep joints in a neutral position, reducing joint stress and maximizing a safe workout experience.

For a full variety of workout potential – adding chin, dip, pull-up bars would complete the offering. Calisthenics is training using one’s own body weight. This allows the user to switch up their routine creating a more versatile workout. On the flip side, the positive about this gym being a ‘grab and go’ style gym, and does not offer body-weight exercises, it is safer and less likely for a user to injure themselves due to poor form.

Overall, I believe the Liberator is an amazing piece. I felt great during and after my workout. My hands were not sore from the grips as they are on other machine. The Liberator provides a complete total body workout. This machine is for athletes whom are seeking to tone and strengthen their entire body.

Precor EFX 447 Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer – Review

by on May 13th, 2016

The Conclusion

I have been using the Precor Ellipticals for about 5 years now and to this day it is still one of the few cardio machines that I enjoy using on a daily basis. After 10 years of playing competitive travel soccer I have acquired several injuries that have prevented me from doing certain exercises for a long period of time. However, with the Precor EFX 447 I am able to work on the elliptical for 30-40 minutes with little to no joint pain. I believe this is because of the Crossramp technology that delivers a smooth natural running/walking motion and allows me to work at varying incline and resistance levels with zero-friction or rough movements. Once unable to work at high incline or resistance levels, I am now able to work at an incline of 15-20 and focus on the muscle groups that are important to my fitness goals without feeling like I am doing harm to my joints and post workout I don’t have any pain from impact or overuse.

As one of the most popular products on the market The Precor EFX 447 Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer brings the health club experience right to your home! The EFX 447 delivers an exceptional, low-impact, total body workout that is sure to please every user with outstanding results. User’s goals can be accomplished with the 447 thanks to its easy to use LCD console that keeps users engaged and motivated throughout their workout & assists them in reaching their fitness goals! The LCD console allows users to customize their workouts and keep track of their progress with the User Profiles, provides 10 present workouts & 20 levels of resistance to assist users in taking their workout to the next level.

Another feature of the EFX 447 that I enjoy is the 4 User Profiles that are included in the console. The user profile allows users to create personal preferences and create a workout that is unique to their fitness goals, as well as receive weekly workout updates to help users track their progress each week. This is a great feature for the EFX because each workout on the EFX 447 is unique to my needs and fitness goals, which I love!

This a great product for a home gym because it provides a smooth, quiet, and comfortable ride throughout the duration of a workout. The large foot pedals ensures users of all sizes to experience a comfortable/safe workout and the combination of a cross ramp and upper body moving handle bars delivers an awesome total-body workout. If you are looking to increase cardiovascular strength and start working towards your best body for summer, the Precor EFX 447 Elliptical Fitness Cross Trainer is for you!

Octane Fitness xR6x Seated Elliptical – Review

by on May 6th, 2016

The Conclusion

Octane Fitness xR6x Seated Elliptical My initial impression of the XR6x was to be slightly intimidated because I had never used a seated elliptical before, but each stage of my first workout was quite stress-free and intuitive: from fitting the unit to fit my size, working with the console to select my work, beginning the stride with upper and lower body, and switching between using both upper and lower body to isolating lower body to isolating upper body it all worked exactly how I would expect.

The XR6x XRide is a one of a kind machine that was designed to deliver a comfortable and quiet full body workout all while sitting down and in the comfort of your own home! The design of the xR6x over-sized seat and foot pedals, as well as step-through design ensures users of all sizes and abilities to experience complete comfort during the duration of their workout. Additionally, the multi-grip handle bars, stand alone foot pegs, as well as the use of power-stroke technology all work together to make this product one of the most comfortable and effective products on the market today!

Although slightly intimidating at first, the first time I stepped on I got on the xR6x I was in awe with how comfortable the seat was and how easy it was for me to adjust for my 5’3 and petite body type. It’s smooth and quiet design makes this product awesome for any home gym.

One of my many favorite features of the xR6x is the comfortable seat. The xR6x seat was structured to sit at a 45 degree angle to assist opening the hip flexors and lengthening the torso, which in turn alleviates any stress that may be placed on the lower-back. After years of running and extraneous exercising that have placed high pressure on my hips, knees and lower back this feature was like finding gold. After just one workout I was hooked and now I no longer walk away from an exercise feeling tight or experience any back pain the next day, it’s amazing!

Another feature that I love is the addition of handle bars on the seat, as well as the stand alone foot pegs. While most cardio machines solely focus on one particular area of the body, the xR6x allows me to chose between a full body workout, a lower body workout or an upper body workout. This is a great feature because I love to challenge my fitness ability by mixing up my workouts and the xR6x allows me to do just that. On days that I want to focus on strengthening my glutes and toning my thighs I have the option of using the seated handle bars, which allows me to take my hands off the handle bars, causing me to work only the lower body. However, on days that I want to build upper body strength the xR6x included stand alone foot pegs that take the my feet off of the pedals allowing me to target only the upper body by producing a chest press movement. These are both great features because they allow me to complete a variety of exercises all on one piece of equipment. In addition with the customizable interval programs and 30 different resistance levels these features ensure that almost every workout on the xR6x Seated Elliptical will be unique but effective, which in turn will keep my body guessing and allowing me to continue to strive toward my fitness goals.

The unique step-through design, 45 degree angle seat, multi-grip handle bars, stand alone begs, and many more features makes The Octane Fitness xR6x Seated Elliptical one of the best (and one of my favorite) and most effective products on the market today.

Whether you are 18 or 80/5’1 or 6’3 this product was designed specially to meet the needs of users of all ages, body types, and fitness levels and will be sure to give each user an exceptional and effective workout every time!

Spirit Fitness CRW800 Rowing Machine – Review

by on March 24th, 2016

The Conclusion

Spirit Fitness CRW800 Rowing Machine is constructed and designed to provide an ultra-smooth, quiet, comfortable ride, as well as an incredible full-body, low impact workout for all users. It’s air-resistant fly wheel, comfortable seating, 16 levels of resistance, and easy-to-use console all work together and took my rowing workouts to another level.

One of my favorite features of the CRW800 is the contoured and padded seat. Most rowing products that I have used in the past have included a hard, non-padded seat that made my bum numb after about 10 minutes. This would greatly impact my workouts causing me resort to alternative cardio equipment, such as a treadmill or elliptical. That all changed with the CRW800, I can now row for a longer period of time without the worry of my workout being cut short because I am uncomfortable. This, in turn, puts me back in control of my workout and how long and hard that I work. Along with the comfortable seating, the CRW800 includes air and magnetic resistance with 16 levels of resistance that can be changed either by console or on the handle bar. Including resistance levels to the handle bar allows users to change their resistance without causing a halt in their workout, which is another valuable feature to me.

If there was something I would change about this product it is the choice of using adjustable foot straps on the foot rest. Even though the foot rest is flexible and includes different sizes for it’s varying users, the adjustable foot straps can easily become loose after a few minutes of rowing causing users to consistently stop and tighten the straps. This can become very tedious after a while so hopefully the manufacturer will take a look at this particular feature soon and make adjustments so that this does not happen as often. Additionally, after about 10-15 minutes of rowing, as I begin to sweat, the handle bar starts to become slippery making it difficult to hold on to the handle bar. I have started to use gloves to help, however, this also becomes frustrating because I would prefer to not have to use gloves.

Overall, the Spirit Fitness CRW800 Rowing Machine is a great product that delivers an incredible workout in the comfort of one’s home. It’s quiet air-resistant fly wheel and easy to use LCD console that includes 10+ programs ensures an awesome full body workout every time. By including several different programs to chose from users are more likely to stay motivated to workout without becoming bored, as well as encourages users to challenge themselves. If you are looking to transform your life and build long lean muscle while also strengthening the cardiovascular system, The Spirit Fitness CRW800 Rowing Machine is for you!

Octane Fitness ZR8 Zero Runner – Review

by on March 8th, 2016

The Conclusion

The Octane Fitness ZR8 Zero Runner is really a game-changer for those 5-7x a week runners because it is very difficult keep that sort of frequency of runs without having joint and overuse injuries…but now it is possible to run 5-7x a week without join pain with the Octane ZR8 Zero Runner.

The Octane Zero Runner has the running-motion, variable stride, and allows those people that desire to achieve the ‘runner’s high’ without the pounding impact of an outdoor or treadmill run.

Being an experienced runner both outdoors and on the treadmill I have acquired several injuries including shin splits and runners knee. These types of injuries would prevent me from running for weeks, however, since discovering the zero runner, I experience less pounding on my knees/joints and can finally enjoy a relaxing workout without worrying about future repercussions that my exercise may cause.

The only issue I came across with the Octane Fitness ZR8 Zero Runner is the initial trial and error of working the product. Many first time user’s will have trouble initially working into a comfortable stride, however, after a few minutes of working on the product you will be running/jogging/walking in no time!

As I know many can relate, it is truly amazing how after years of suffering from running injuries that there is now a product out there that allows me to continue to do what I love, pain free. There really is nothing like the Octane Fitness ZR8 Zero Runner. If you love to run, walk, or jog but are restricted by the harsh pounding placed on your joints or even if you are looking to add a challenge to your running routine, the Octane ZR8 Zero Runner is perfect.

Inspire Fitness CR2 Cross Rower – Review

by on March 1st, 2016

The Conclusion

The Inspire Fitness CR2 Cross Rower motion when used with low or no resistance is very awkward and the flywheel begins to carry it’s own momentum which makes the experience very strange. About 7 minutes into my workout I decided to increase the resistance, so I had to stop the machine (which isn’t ideal of course) and twist the handle quite firmly. I was not optimistic about the workout improving, but it was that ‘Ah Ha’ moment, because after the resistance was up quite high, I really had to drive off my feet and pulling the handles in a row and once I reached the end of the movement I then had to push with a decline-chest press type movement to return to the starting position. Increasing the resistance made the exercise motion much better and controlled.

While in high school, as well as the first couple years of college, my workouts consisted of running, running, and more running. Striving to build lean muscle I started to do research on effective workout routines that focused primarily on doing just that. It was not until my sophomore year of college that I discovered HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and immediately fell in love with the results I was both seeing and feeling. For the first six months, my weekly workout routine consisted of 3 days dedicated to aerobic exercise (running, rowing, cycling) and 2 days dedicated to HIIT (two 7 minute circuits with 4 exercises in each, repeated twice). Overtime this particular interval training became tough on my knees preventing me from working at my full potential. I quickly became discouraged and started to back off of interval training as I looked for alternative options.

I was very happy to find that the CR2 movement did not add any discomfort on my knees or joints and so I have another alternative cross-training workout to supplement running, HIIT workouts, and cycling.

The overall construction of the CR2 Cross Rower provides a smooth/stable transition between the pulling/pushing motions saving my joints from any abrupt motions that may cause irritation. The comfortable seating and multi-grip handle bar was also a major plus. The Cross Rower handle bars provides 3 natural grip options, as well as seat handle bars for those that want to primarily focus on the legs/glutes.

If there was something I would change about this product it is the adjustable straps on the foot rest. The straps on the CR2 Cross Rower are very easy to adjust, however, for user’s with smaller feet such as mine you will have to use a screw driver to make the straps tighter if they do not fit the initial footing. This is a very important safety feature for the product because if the straps are not adjusted properly one’s foot can potentially slip out and make contact with the wishbone. This happened to me a few times because I was not aware of this issue. Additionally, I think the range of motion for the upper body rowing could be improved. Unless on a high resistance, I feel as if I am restricted to how far back I can pull my arms restricting a full upper body workout.

With HIIT training taking the fitness industry by storm this product is perfect for individuals, like myself, who enjoy both aerobic and anaerobic training and are looking for a product that incorporates both types of exercise to help build long lean muscle, as well as enjoy a pain free, low-impact workout.

Helix HLT3500 Lateral Trainer – Review

by on February 25th, 2016

The Conclusion

The Helix HLT3500 Lateral Trainer’s unique side-to-side motion delivers an exceptionally challenging leg workout and cardiovascular exercise. Unlike most traditional exercise equipment products that work front-to-back, the Helix Trainer works laterally to target areas including the inner/outer thighs, glutes, and core.

I typically spend around 45-60 minutes on a treadmill/elliptical to fulfill my aerobic exercise. However, after only 10 minutes on the Helix Lateral Trainer I was exhausted, dripping sweat and legs shaking (in a good way). Needless to say, this product threw me quite the curve ball the first time I tried it out. The lateral motion forces you to stay low and really focus on working your glutes and legs providing an amazing lower body workout.

The Helix HLT3500 console is intuitive and includes 16 levels of resistance, as well as 8 different workout programs. During my first workout on the Helix HLT3500 I was able to get on the product, find an appropriate exercise program and resistance level within 20-30 seconds without any problems.

I could feel the circular lateral motion activate all of the muscles in my legs and gluteus maximus, and naturally made me engage my core. I personally enjoy this characteristic of the machine very much, because typically as I become tired during a workout I forget to engage my core. However, with the Helix Lateral Trainer its not a problem because you have to keep your core tight to stay balanced.

The Helix workout demanding that I keep my core tight through the workout to stay balanced is a major benefit because normally I have to remind myself to keep my core engaged on my elliptical or treadmill workouts.

WaterRower Natural Rowing Machine – Review

by on February 18th, 2016

The Conclusion

The WaterRower Natural Rowing Machine is a beautifully crafted product made from solid wood that is both pleasing to the eye, as well as delivers an incredible low-impact workout for all individuals. The solid Ash Wood texture and patented water filled flywheel makes this a great product for any home gym.

Personally, I have experienced frequent knee pain over the last several years while running outdoors and occasional treadmill use. In recent months I have started doing rowing workouts, one machine in particular, the WaterRower Natural Rowing Machine, has been a breath of fresh air and I have experienced a lot of relief in my joints.

The design of the Natural Rowing Machine frame and the overall construction of the product such as the narrow foot rests and dual rail design allowed for a quiet, comfortable, and smooth ride throughout the duration of my workout allowing me to walk away pain free.

However, if there was one thing I would change about this product it is the choice of material used for the handle bar. Initially, the material was comfortable, however, after about 30 minutes of use it became rough on the hands leaving me with a few blisters. I now wear some weight lifting gloves to handle the friction of the handlebar and it’s been better although I would prefer not to wear gloves while working out so hopefully the manufacturer updates the handles soon. I have peers which also use the rower and they do not have the same issue with the handlebar, but for me gloves are necessary to enjoy the 30 minute workout.

Overall, I think the WaterRower Natural Rowing Machine is a great product for all individuals looking to increase their cardiovascular fitness, burn calories for weight loss, tone your upper and lower body, strengthening of the lower back, and desire a low-impact full body workout.
